I have some bad news for myself T.T Yes, I went to my dental clinic this morning for the monthly adjustment on my braces and guess what?!! My dentist told me to remove two of my third molar tooth!! For those who read my previous braces story, you might feel surprised on the progress and procedure of each stage of my braces because I'm having a serious overbite problem. I go through lots of pain and fear , ups & downs and I'm so happy when doctor no longer mention the need to remove my third molar tooth (wisdom tooth) but today he mentioned it to me.

My tooth moved quite fast and everything runs smoothly on me. I visit my dental clinic and make my appointment once every month. Not even skip the monthly adjustment. So I guess I'm no longer needed to remove my molar tooth but now I need :'( Because it block my braces and it's a MUST now. I like the doctor at my dental clinic. He always tells me the truth and this time he told me that it's pain and might feel uncomfortable for the rest of the day after removing my molar tooth.

I need to remove two of my wisdom tooth now. The left one and the right one. So it took about one week for the recovery process and it consider as an operation. Although I can't feel any pain during the operation or procedure but i might feel really pain and uncomfortable after the operation.

Doctor ask me to get ready and prepare that I can't eat anything within that week and of course, I'm afraid to the max as I never remove any of my wisdom tooth before. I google around and searched some video on the youtube then I saw this video :O

It looks kinda scary and need to remove the stitches one week after the operation. I'm shocked! Totally shocked and when doctor told me it's pain, it means it's REAL PAIN. Although my previous experience of normal tooth extraction wasn't pain at all but by watching at this video...I can really feel the pain now. I can't imagine myself on my next appointment.

So I promised to remove it latest by next month which is November after I celebrated my Birthday at end of this month and back from my Hokkaido trip first. OMG This scared me to the max and I need to go through this TWICE!! Next, after my own calculation I think it might took about a total of 3 weeks to remove both of my left & right wisdom tooth.

MY GOD. GOD BLESS ME THEN! Also, I couldn't travel on next month then :'( I must stay at home and I couldn't eat nice food again. Please recover and don't let me suffer for so long ya. Pray and finger crossed now.

Next, I need to make for the appointment so I can remove my wisdom tooth on November. So which is the best date. During the recovering process I guess I couldn't attend most of the event because my face might look really swollen after removing my wisdom tooth. So let me google some photo and be prepare for it now T.T

OMG...are you serious now? I...will look like this soon? PLEASE PRAY FOR ME I'M REALLY SCARED NOW. For those who removed your wisdom tooth before please let me know how you feel after the operation. Will you feel really uncomfortable after that? Suffer or so pain ? Or the pain is bearable? Just let me know T.T

After putting the 4 mini screw on my gums I thought nothing else can scared me but this time...I'm really afraid of removing both of my wisdom tooth. GOD BLESS ME AND I WILL PRAY REALLY HARD THIS TIME. I guess I should stop here and just enjoy the rest of my day during this month so that I can smile on the rest of the day. lol

Hopefully it won't pain too long :'( See you on my next Braces Story's post!

  1. Hey! I had my wisdom tooth removed before I got my braces 7 years ago. It was painful (no lie) but it wasn't that scary. I had difficult surgery because my wisdom teeth pointed downwards so my surgeon had to cut my gum a bit wider than expected. I had the moment when my local anesthetic worn off and I grunted, asked for anesthetic injection because I started to feel the pain in the middle of the surgery. Oh my I hope you are not scared with my story ><

By the way, it is not as bad as when you put your brace for the first time--it is definitely much more pain than the surgery itself. Trust me! The swell lasts around 3-4 days to me and my dentist pull out the string after a week. Bled a bit but nope, no pain! :) Compared to putting braces. Really!

Good luck to you! Looking forward to your story alright~

  4. Ah, I'm putting on braces end of this month and somehow came across your blog. As for wisdom tooth, I removed two, one of them was quite a surgery. As long as you take pain killers it's totally fine. My face was not swallon either. Although you'll be thinking "wtf am I doing this" during the surgery, you'll recover in a few hours hahaha Good Luck!

  5. Don't worry too much and trust your doctor. I removed 1 of my wisdom tooth before putting on braces. The bleeding last for around 1-2 hours and a little pain after the painkiller effect gone. In a week's time I'm all good and eat what I want. My husband removed 2 wisdom tooth at a time. 3 days later he's happily eating rice. By the way, your braces process is really fast. I'm on braces for almost 4 years!

  8. Hi Chanwon!

I got same condition as you right now.. And i just remove my right side wisdom tooth last 2 weeks and i need 1 more time for the left side later.. T.T

The surgery itself didn't scary at all.. I even so calm that day.. Don't know what ghost entered my body that i didn't overpanic at all..

So ur doctor suggested you to do it for both side? For me, the pain was when the doctor gave anesthetic injection, the pain went up to my brain.. But after that u can feel that ur mouth numb dy.. You won't feel any pain during surgery..

After surgery it took about a week to recovery.. I think ur doctor will give you some medicine to consume such as antibiotics, antiswelling, and painkiller pills.. Remember after surgery u may not gargle or brush your teeth, but only that day.. Just eat porridge..

I even can't talked too much but it getting better day by day for sure..
And now i already removed the stitches on the previous tuesday..
I got shocked that my gummy become perforated..
Don't know whether can back to normal or not.. maybe u can ask ur doctor for that.. T.T

    Jiayou, Chanwon!

  10. My experience was actually great! Though I must say many were surprised by how fast I recovered after extractions. I had no swelling at all. The doctor said to put ice on both cheeks only 24 hours after the surgery and I stayed faithful to that and it worked! As far as pain I had none and ate liquid diet 2-3 days
